Friday, January 18th, 7:30 pm:
Dr. Carol Williams will present a concert to kick off SMORGANSBORD 2019, Christ The King Lutheran Church, Cary. A meet and greet reception will follow the concert.
Dr. Williams was the Artist-in- Residence presiding over the largest outdoor pipe organ in the world at Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.

9:00 am to Noon – Rodney Barbour – Using orchestral voices and MIDI in Worship on the organ
Noon to 1:00 pm – Lunch
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Richard and Evelyn Van Auken will be presenting workshops in hymn accompaniments, free harmonizations, registration and piano and organ duet material. All who attend will receive a FREE volume of Mr. Van Auken’s books with free harmonizations.
Rodney Barbour has an extensive and varied background on several instruments including accordion, trombone, theater organ and classical organ. He is a graduate of the Cincinnati Music Conservatory.
Richard Van Auken is a native of Quakertown, PA and was an organ professor at the Moravian College. He studied piano under Eleanor Sokoloff (of Curtis Institute), Susan Starr, Kenneth Amada, and Natalie Hinderas
